APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE STUDENT

Maintaining F-1 Status

We are pleased that you are interested in pursuing graduate studies at Austin Peay State University.  Before being considered for graduate school, the following documents MUST be received in order for your application to be processed. For more information on international students please visit our international students homepage. -- Click here

Degree programs that are offered solely online are not available to International Students on F-1 or J-1 Visa.

q                 Completed Graduate Application 

q                 U.S. $25.00 Application Fee (in bank draft or US check payable to Austin Peay State University). 

q                 Official copies of all transcripts, certificates, diplomas, and degrees must be translated and evaluated by Global Education Group (http://www.globaledu.com) or World Education Services (http://www.wes.org); and forwarded to the College of Graduate Studies.

 q                 Official acceptable GRE Scores on the verbal and quantitative sections sent from the GRE center.

 q                 Official TOEFL Scores (minimum score of 61 on the TOEFL iBT test, 500 on the paper-based test or 173 on the computer-based test), sent directly from the TOEFL Center.

 q                 Three favorable letters of recommendation (from undergraduate faculty members or others who can verify that you possess the academic ability to do quality graduate work.)

 q                 Provide Certification of Freedom from Tuberculosis, proof of two immunizations with the Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) vaccines, Hepatitis and Meningitis; and provide proof of Medical and Hospitalization Insurance. 

q                 If you are a transfer student from another U.S. college, university, or other school, you must have the college, university, or other schools send us a photocopy of your I-20 form/DS-2019 form, I-94 form, US Visa page, and passport information page along with Transfer Verification Form. 

q                 Financial Support Statement with proof of resources (US $25,048*- $27,238* for 9 months or US $32,384* - $35,669* for 12 months, additional US $3,500 for your spouse and US $2,000 for each child per academic year.)
