After approval of thesis or
field study proposal by major professor and graduate committee
Using the
Publication Manual-APA (current edition) OR other manuals as approved
by your department; distribute the penultimate copy to
major professor and Graduate Committee;
Consult with major professor to schedule a meeting of the student and
the Graduate Committee for the Oral Defense of the Thesis or
Field Study Report
After successful completion
of the oral defense
In consultation with the
major professor, schedule a seminar to present research, if required by
the department. Also, make certain the Verification/Approval Sheet
is signed by the major professor and all members of the graduate
committee prior to submission of the paper to the Graduate Dean.
The penultimate draft of the research literacy paper
must be approved by the student’s graduate committee chair or the
instructor of the research course and be submitted to the College of
Graduate Studies no later than two weeks prior to the end of the
semester, in which the student expects to complete degree requirements.
Submit thesis, field study
reports, research project papers and research literacy papers to the
Dean of Graduate Studies, Room 203, Kimbrough Building.
Students will be contacted and/or notified of needed corrections, if
necessary.
Deadline for submission of
final approved copies of theses, field study reports, research
project papers and research literacy papers to the Graduate Dean: One
week prior to the listed graduation date.
Make any recommended
corrections and submit final copy to the Dean, College of Graduate
Studies. Signature of the Dean indicates final acceptance and approval.
