Schedules are similar from one semester to another; courses are divided into skill levels dependent on enrollment in any given course. The schedule and semester calendar for the current semester is shown below for reference. For details on specific courses see the course descriptions on our Academic Program page.

Jan. 5-13: Registration Period
January 14: Placement Test and Orientation: 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (includes a break for lunch)

January 15: Registration Deadline at 4 p.m.
January 19: First day of class
January 22: Late Registration ends at 4 p.m. - $50 late fee applies
March 8-12: Spring Break - No classes
April 2: Good Friday holiday - No classes, university is closed
April 29: Last day of class
April 30: Final - Michigan Test

 

Non F-1 Students/Residents

Non F-1 students may register for just one or any number of the available classes. Fall and Spring semester courses are $460 each. Concepts and Practices courses are optional and the cost is $75. (Fees are subject to change.)

Evening ESL Classes

Evening ESL classes lasting six weeks with flexible starting dates are also available.  Please contact the ESL Coordinator for more information at 931-221-6270.

Inclement Weather

ESL Institute class will be canceled if APSU is closed due to inclement weather or emergency. University closing information is available at the APSU web site, www.apsu.edu, and at
