Interactive Television Conferencing
The Distance Education office implements video conferencing technology in real-time so that faculty, staff, and administrators at Austin Peay
University can communicate on a classroom to classroom basis, classroom to any location in the United States, or allow for communications with various locations world wide.
Applications and Resources
Faculty are encouraged to consider video conferencing
technology to enhance on-ground and online classes and to expand offerings
to extended campus locations. Through the use of VC technology you can:

avoid travel expense and hassle
- Conduct real-time discussions with groups of
students or colleagues in other locations
- Establish learning communities with other
universities
- Enhance foreign language classes by connecting with
a classroom of native speakers
- Prepare study abroad participants with pre-trip
meetings
- Expand extended campus offerings, eliminating travel
time and expense
- Increase enrollments through 2+2 partnerships with
community colleges
- Take virtual field trips to such places as the
National D-Day Museum and Smithsonian Art Museums
