The Center has a New Home!
In 1999, the tornado that leveled so much of downtown Clarksville
forced the University to find a “temporary home” for the various
groups that make up the Center for Extended and Distance Education.
Now, after ten years in offices scattered all around downtown
Clarksville, the Center team has finally come home again to the
Austin Peay campus.
July 15, 2009 marked our move into the
newly-remodeled APSU McReynolds Building. Located just
off of College Street on Drane Street, McReynolds will now house the
English as a Second Language Institute, APSU Distance Education (our
online degree program support team), the TN Small
Business Development Center, Tri-county Upward Bound, Veterans
Upward Bound, Extended Education (our off-campus programs
administration team), Dual and Joint Enrollment support staff and
Continuing Education (our leisure learning, career development and
business training staff, labs and classrooms.) APSU’s
Grants and Sponsored Research offices will also be housed in
McReynolds.
With tons of space for all of our
programs, we are excited about serving our students and
clients from our new offices, great new classroom spaces and newly
updated teaching labs. Come visit us soon!
