Mission

The primary goal of Upward Bound is to help each student realize his/her academic potential. Ultimately, the program's purpose is to have all participants enter and succeed at some form of post-secondary education.

In order to achieve long-range goals we expect each student to make serious preparation while in high school for entering college. This means taking college preparatory classes and succeeding in them. Upward Bound also exposes each participant to a variety of extracurricular activities and cultural experiences that will enrich his/her life and lay the basis for a wide range of activities in adult life.
