Information Systems with concentrations in Computer Science
and in Information Systems is offered. The Computer Science
concentration is provided for those who plan to work in one
of the many technical areas of computing and for those who
will pursue graduate study in computer science. The
Information Systems concentration is intended for those who
plan to work in some area of computing applications in the
business field. The Database Administration concentration
trains students in the design, implementation, and
administration of databases, including
those accessed by Web applications. The Internet and Web
Technology concentration trains students in the
administration and development of Internet and intranet
sites and other applications of interactive multimedia.
Concentration: Information Systems
MATH 1010, 2010, 2060, 2070, 3020, 3200, 3320, 3400, 3700,
4100, 4400, 4800; MATH 1530; select one from MATH 1810 or
MATH 1910; ENGL 1100. Minor in general business is
suggested. A minor or a second concentration from this
department is required of all students who complete this
program.
