CURRENT STUDENTS – Advising and preregistration for Summer and Fall 2010 takes place April 5-16, 2010. Summer class schedules will be available at that time.

Why Take Summer Classes?

It’s more affordable thanks to new Pell Grant disbursement rules.

It used to be that you could only receive Pell Grant funds for two semesters a year. Now, eligible students receive funds year-round. That means Pell Grant funds are available for the fall, spring and summer semesters! Call the Office of Student Financial Aid at (931) 221-7907 for complete information.

You can give your undivided attention to a challenging class.

During the fall and spring semesters, you’re probably juggling several classes. Taking a challenging course during a summer term will allow you to focus solely on that subject – and improve your chances of earning a good grade.

You’ll finish courses faster.

Our fall and spring semesters last 16 weeks. If you take classes during the Summer I or Summer II terms, you’ll complete courses in just five weeks. Summer III lasts seven weeks. Choose the Full Summer term and you’ll complete courses in 10 weeks.

You can earn your degree faster.

Most people aim to earn a degree over the course of eight semesters (four years). If you treat the summer as an “extra” semester, you’ll be on the fast track to a diploma!
