Academic Course Proposals

Curriculog provides for three different types of course proposals: New course, course revise and course delete.

New course and course modification forms require that student learning outcomes be developed and defined as part of the proposal process. Differentiation in course rigor, assessments and tasks are also required and will need to be clearly defined for those courses who have both an undergraduate and graduate course offering of the same name.

Courses previously approved as a one-time or experimental offering will need to go through the new course process to become a permanent course. No new approvals will be granted for offering courses on a one-time or experimental basis.

Within the undergraduate new course and course modification you will also be able to make a selection to have the course reviewed for addition to the General Education Core requirements. The General Education Standing Committee will review all course proposals of this nature and make a recommendation to the University Curriculum Committee regarding addition to the core requirements.
