The Bird Collection of the APSU DSMZ contains approximately 600 specimens (round skins) representing 17 Orders and 48 Families. The majority of the specimens represent species native to Tennessee and nearby Kentucky. The bulk of the collection was built from the mid-1960s to mid-1970s.
