Dr. Chad Brooks

Associate Provost for Research 
and Dean of the College of Graduate Studies

Dr. Brooks is responsible for coordinating all of the administrative duties for Research,  Grants and Sponsored Programs and the College of Graduate Studies. He is also responsible for establishing the policies and procedures that govern these areas. Dr. Brooks chairs the Graduate and Research Council, facilitates the Institutional Review Board, and coordinates Graduate Faculty approvals and the Graduate Student Appeals Process. Dr. Brooks also represents APSU's College of Graduate Studies at THEC and several other professional graduate organizations.

Dr. Tim Leszczak

Interim Assistant Dean, College of Graduate Studies

Dr. Leszczak oversees planning and operations related to the College of Graduate Studies, including admissions, recruiting, and graduate assistantships.  He reviews and updates graduate policies and procedures, manages the Graduate Studies website, and serves as the Chair of the Graduate Appeals Committee.

Overseeing all aspects of the graduate admissions process, Ms. Mitchell is responsible for developing and executing recruitment strategies for graduate programs. This includes developing marketing material, attending education and career fairs, managing social media, identifying new businesses and markets to target for specific graduate programs. She also serves as a point of contact for potential students.

Ms. Karen Runyon

Office Supervisor, Associate Provost for Research 
and Dean of the College of Graduate Studies

Ms. Runyon is responsible for the Graduate Assistantship processes. She also works closely with faculty committees to oversee the Diversity Fellowship Grant program and the Graduate Academic Appeals process. She works annually to update and publish the Graduate Bulletin. Ms. Runyon also coordinates the budget and purchasing for the College of Graduate Studies and provides administrative support for graduate committees and graduate faculty programs.

Ms. CaSandra Wiley Jackson

Processes all admissions applications and documents, Ms. Wiley Jackson also refers copmpleted student applications to the graduate coordinators for admission decisions.  She works diligently to ensure that all students files are accurately processed in timely fashion and communicates these processes with the student.  Ms. Wiley Jackson also serves as a point of contact for prospective students.
