International Student Scholarships

Austin Peay offers scholarships for full-time, degree-seeking, undergraduate and graduate students studying on F-1 Visas or alike (excluding J-1). Please read below for more information.

 

Undergraduate Scholarships

For the 2017-2018 academic year, the ISAS award for undergraduate students is $8,000 per academic year. Academic year consists of a fall and a spring semester of fulltime enrollment. Should a student begin his/her enrollment in the spring semester and/or graduate in a fall semester then only half of the ISAS scholarship will be awarded.

 
Eligibility*
  1. Apply for admission at APSU
  2. Have an F-1 visa or alike (excluding J-1)
  3. Have demonstrated academic achievement. 
    • the applicant must have achieved equal or greater than the United States equivalent of a 3.0 high school grade point average or scored equal or greater than a composite score of 22 on the ACT or 1100 on the SAT.
  4. For students transferring from a United States regionally accredited institution, a minimum of 30 undergraduate credits  with an earned GPA of 3.0 or greater is needed for eligibility.
  5. For international students admitted to APSU but were academically ineligible, should the student earn 30 undergraduate credits with a GPA of 3.0 or greater, then that student would become eligible.
Continued Eligibility*

To maintain the scholarship for consecutive years, students must:

  1. Maintain fulltime enrollment
  2. Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or greater
  3. Maintain satisfactory behavior according the Student Code of Conduct and the laws of Tennessee and the United States
Not Eligible*
  1. Any additional scholarship that would result in APSU refunding payment to the student due to excess funding
  2. This scholarship cannot be combined with any other APSU funded scholarship that pays for tuition.
 The honors college is a highly competitive program that requires motivated students to fulfill 30 Honors credit hours, both in the general education core and in upper-division courses in their majors. For more information and to apply, please see HERE!

 

Graduate Scholarships

For the 2017-2018 academic year, the ISAS award for graduate students is $5,600 per academic year. Academic year consists of a fall and a spring semester of fulltime enrollment. Should a student begin his/her enrollment in the spring semester and/or graduate in a fall semester then only half of the ISAS scholarship will be awarded.

 
Eligibility*
  1. Apply for admission at APSU
  2. Have an F-1 visa or alike (excluding J-1)
  3. Have demonstrated academic achievement. 
    • The applicant must have achieved equal or greater than the United States equivalent of a 3.0 undergraduate grade point average or a 3.0 graduate grade point average from another accredited institution or scored equal or greater than a composite score of 300 on the GRE or 470 GMAT or 390 MAT. Note, the GRE, GMAT, and MAT scores are based on a 2017 comparative between the exams and therefore, these scores are subject to change dependent on the year the exam score was earned.   
  4. For students transferring from a United States regionally accredited institution, a minimum of 12 graduate credits with an earned GPA of 3.0 or greater is needed for eligibility.
  5. For international students admitted to APSU but were academically ineligible, should the student earn 12 graduate credits with a GPA of 3.0 or greater, then that student would become eligible.
Continued Eligibility*
