Jasmin Linares

    

  Jasmin Linares, U.S. Army Veteran

 Coordinator

      Jasmin Linares is the Coordinator for the Military Student Center at Austin Peay State University. She is an Army Veteran who has served since 1996, as an active duty and reserve soldier. She completed her Bachelor of Science in General Business from the University of Phoenix, a Bachelor of Art in Foreign Language from Austin Peay State University, and a Master of Science in Management from Austin Peay State University. She started working for Austin Peay in 2007 as a Veteran Affairs Technical Clerk and then as a VA Counselor in 2012. In November of 2013 she assumed the duties of the Military Student Center Coordinator. She also serves as a member of the Military Education Task Force for Austin Peay State University. Her personal interests include traveling, watching movies, and spending time with her daughter and cats.     


 Austin Derden

  Austin Derden, USAR Veteran

   Graduate Assistant

        Austin Derden is the Graduate Administrative Assistant for the Military Student Center. He served in the Army Reserve before coming to Austin Peay. Austin completed his Bachelor of Science in Psychology spring of 2017 and received "Outstanding Graduate" Award from the Psychological Science department and awards related to his presidency of the Students for Secular Humanism. He is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. His personal interests include building computers, listening to audiobooks (especially horror), video games, outdoorsman activities, and a good argument. 


   John 

John L. Hill III, U.S. Army Retiree

VA Work Study

         John L. Hill III is a Veterans Administration Work Study at the Military Student Center. He has served in the U.S Navy and has retired from the U.S. Army. He has worked at the Military Student Center since May 2016.  He is currently pursuing a Computer Science and Information Technology degree in database administration and network security. His interests include video games, reading, watching movies, cooking, fishing and hunting.


 Angie

  Angie Quinn-Clark, U.S. Army Retiree

  VA Work Study

         Angie Quinn-Clark is a Veterans Administration Work Study at the Military Student Center. She is a retired Army Veteran of 21 years. She is currently a Special Education major. She has worked at the Military Student Center since February 2016.  Her interests include traveling with her husband, volunteering with special needs children and helping out with the Zeta Amicae Organization.


 

Brianna

  Brianna J. Clayborne, U.S. Army Veteran

  VA Work Study

        Brianna Clayborne is a native to Northern Illinois pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a Homeland Security concentration and minor in Sociology. Brianna is a work-study for the Military Student Center and enjoys helping students to reach academic excellence by providing tutoring in English, Chemistry and Writing. Brianna loves football and is a diehard fan of the game, often seen sporting her Pittsburg Steelers gear.


 

Don Koenes

  Donald Koenes, USMC Retiree

   VA Work Study

      Donald Koenes is a Veterans Administration Work Study at the Military Student Center. He served on active duty in the U.S Marine Corps  from 1988 - 2008 as law office manager. He is currently pursuing a Master's in Management degree. He has worked at the Military Student Center since June 2013. His interests include balloon twisting and travel.   


   Joshua

Joshua Kohler, USMC and Army Veteran

   VA Work Study

    Joshua Kohler is a Veterans Administration Work Study at the Military Student Center. He served as a Corrections Specialist in the Marine Corps and as a Cavalry Scout in the Army National Guard. Joshua is currently pursuing a degree in Sociology, with a Psychology minor. His interests and hobbies include reading, science fiction, video games, and minimalist camping.


 Ashley

Ashley Sims

 VA Work Study

   Ashley Sims is a Veterans Administration Work Study at the Military Student Center here at Austin Peay University. Ashley is a New England/Middle Tennessee native whom is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education. Her personal interests include working with animals and children, going to concerts, shopping and spending time with her niece and nephew as well as her pets.


 Michael

Michael Pender, Army Vet. Retiree

   VA Work Study

   Michael A. Pender is a Veterans Administration Work Study at the Military Student Center. He is a retired Army Veteran of 20 years.  He is currently pursuing a Computer Science and Information Technology Degree in system development and networking.  His interests include traveling, video games, watching movies, listening to music, and grilling.
