Things to do!

Just 45 minutes northwest of Nashville, TN, Clarksville is nestled along the banks of the Cumberland River among farmland and rolling hills.  It is one of the South’s most historic cities and the home of Austin Peay State University.  For directions to APSU, please see: https://www.apsu.edu/map/directions

Foy Fitness Center – Opened in January 2007, the $11 million Foy Fitness  Center at APSU features a 3-court multi-activity gymnasium, 1/10 mile indoor walking track, 26-foot climbing wall, cardio and resistance training space, a cycling studio, locker rooms and food service area, and outdoor swimming pool.

Walk Clarksville Tour - See the best of historic downtown in a two-mile, self-guided walking tour. Brochure maps are available at the Customs House.

Clarksville Greenway – a “Rails to Trails” 5-mile paved walking/biking trail that meanders through the center of town offering views of nearby creeks and farms.

Cumberland River walk - a 2 mile paved walk along the Cumberland River with a playground, picnic area, and historical exhibit of the river. 

Beachaven Winery – produces award winning wines, offers tours of the facilities and samples of their wines, and hosts a summer jazz festival.

Customs House Museum and Cultural Center – is the state’s second largest general museum with over 35,000 square feet of the region’s best activities and special events.

Dunbar Cave State Park - Dunbar Cave is the most prominent of several caves located in this designated natural area. In the roomy mouth of the cave, square dances, radio shows, and big band era concerts were once held.  Now, activities enjoyed at the park include hiking, fishing, visiting the museum, and visiting the cave.
