14th Annual APSU Research & Creativity Forum and Graduate Research Extravaganza

Thursday April 11th

2018 TELS Conference

The 2018 Tennessee Experiential Learning Symposium (TELS) will be hosted at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN on Thursday, Nov. 1st in the Morgan University Center. This event will feature students from across Tennessee who have participated in high-impact practices including study abroad, internships, service-learning, undergraduate research and a host of other faculty-mentored experiential activities. The deadline for students to submit an application and abstract is October 19th. We hope that you and your students will be able to attend. APSU Director’s from Service Learning, Study Abroad and Undergraduate Research offices will be hosting a round table discussion during lunch. So, please feel free to attend and network with your colleagues from across the state.

 The cost of the event is $30 per guest (continental breakfast and lunch included). I have provided a copy of the tentative schedule below for your convenience. Click the registration hyperlink to register for the event

9:00am-10:00am – Check-in and continental breakfast

9:45am-10:00am – Welcome and Schedule Overview

10:00-11:00am – Thematic Track 1 (Oral Presentations, Performances)

11:15am-12:15pm – High Impact Practice Directors Meetings, Keys to the World Luncheon & Workshop (Students)

12:30pm-1:30pm – Poster Exhibit and Display

1:45pm – 2:45pm – Thematic Track 2 (Oral Presentations, Performances)

3:00pm-3:30pm – Awards Ceremony

 We are excited to host this Annual event at Austin Peay and look forward to learning about the transformational experiences happening across the state.

2018 Tennessee Posters on the Hill

nashvilleEvery February, undergraduate researchers from across the State of Tennessee convene at the State Capitol to share their projects with state legislators. Students must apply to present by Oct. 31st, and will be notified if they will represent APSU by Nov. 7th. The statewide presentation is February/March each year.
