University Recreation's Fitness & Wellness department strives to promote healthy lifestyle choices that enhance the personal wellness of the greater APSU community through quality educational and activity-based fitness programs and services.
Challenge yourself in all new ways! Aerial Fitness is a fusion of yoga, pilates, aerial inspired dance, and fitness movements/exercises performed either partially or fully suspended. This fitness program is for all fitness levels; every movement/exercise can be modified to suit your abilities. Sessions are 6-weeks long, meeting 2 days per week. Not sure about signing up for a whole session? We have drop-in options too!
Boot Camp is a 6-week program designed to help you reach your fitness goals! Boot Camp classes are typically smaller groups which allows the instructor to focus on each participant. Workouts range from cardio and strength based exercises to agility, core work, range of motion and much more. Classes meet Monday - Thursday during session dates.
Wellness workshops are held at varying times on Wednesdays and cover various topics from healthy eating to stress management women's health and more. Workshops are free to APSU ID holders, no sign-up required.

According to the American Cancer Society, 1 in 8 women living in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. The Breast Cancer 5k is an event to raise awareness about breast cancer as well as promote physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices which can potentially reduce the risk of breast cancer. A portion of the proceeds goes to the American Cancer Society, and is earmarked for breast cancer efforts.
The Wellness Expo is an opportunity to discover various health, wellness and fitness offerings or services in Clarksville. Businesses/organizations set up informational tables to showcase all they have to offer. The Wellness Expo is open to APSU as well as the Clarksville community.
Vendors change each year, but include those that relate to any of the dimensions of wellness, whether it's physical, emotional, environmental, social, intellectual, spiritual, occupational or financial.
