University Recreation offers a wide variety of classes that allow you to get a great workout with a group of like-minded individuals. Formats range from 30-minute focused sessions to full hour classes. This program is intended to be drop-in in nature so that anyone can attend a class at any point during the semester. Unless otherwise specified, classes are taught at an intermediate level, while the instructors provide suggestions to make exercises more or less challenging according to your personal fitness level. Classes are free to University Recreation patrons.
Please be on time.
For your safety as well as class flow, we ask that you arrive with enough time to join the class prior to the scheduled start time. To ensure participant safety and avoid class disruption, instructors may refuse entry to late participants.
Dress Code Notes
For a more detailed description of requirements, see the University Recreation dress code.
- Shirts covering the navel must be worn at all times.
- Closed-to, athletic shoes must be worn at all times. High-heels, hard-soled shoes
cause excessive wear and can damage the wood floors and are therfore prohibited.
- Dress code parameters may be adjusted to accommodate certain class formats. For example, bare feet or stocking feet are permissible in mind-body classes (i.e., yoga and Pilates) and Ballet Body.
Minors are not allowed in group fitness classes without being accompanied by a parent/guardian. All guest policies apply.
