Louise F. Mitchell, HCC CoordinatorLouise Mitchell graduated from Austin Peay State University with her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and minors in Mathematics and Spanish. She continued at APSU and received her master’s degree in Communications. Louise’s interests include reading classical literature, listening to music, playing with her two toddlers and volunteering for her national sorority.

Dr. Ruiz-Avilés, Cultural DirectorDr. Ruiz-Avilés has been the Cultural Director of the Hispanic Cultural Center since it first opened back in 2005. He is also a Professor of Hispanic Literature, History, and Language. He holds a PhD in Hispanic Literature from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is also the Coordinator of the Study Abroad Program in Spain. His personal interests include Hispanic literature, cinema, and travel.
