APSU Dialing Plan, Effective August 17, 2009 Emergency dial 911 Campus calls:  Dial the 4-digit extension Local calls:  Dial 8 + the seven digit local number Long-distance calls:  Dial 8 + 1 + the ten digit number.  After you dial the number  you will hear a stutter tone.  Enter your 6-digit long-distance code and the call will go through. Toll-free calls:  Dial 8 + 1 + the ten digit number. Note:  It is no longer necessary to dial "30" anywhere in the dialing pattern for a long distance call.
