- University Probation - Effective immediately, the chapter is hereby on University Probation until March 1, 2021. There are to be no social events, with or without alcohol, at any event associated with the chapter. This probationary period does not prohibit the organization from continuing to operate on the campus of Austin Peay State University, but does place the chapter under close supervision. Additionally, the chapter will be allowed to have brotherhood events as long as no alcohol nor unaffiliated guests are present at the events. The chapter may petition the Office of Student Conduct for permission to have the probationary terms modified pending the completion of the special education program outlined below.
- Special Education Program - Prior to March 1, 2021, the chapter is required to coordinate a specialized risk management program (focusing on the importance of safety and the actions deemed necessary to take in response to the COVID-19 pandemic) for brothers of Pi Kappa Alpha to be conducted by Kim Novak, Pi Kappa Alpha Director of Health and Safety, either in person or via Zoom. It is required that 90% of undergraduates who are on the membership roster must attend and participate in this program. Proof of participation must be submitted to the Office of Student Conduct upon completion of this program.
- Additionally, the Office of Student Conduct has agreed to endorse your own internal
sanctions that have been levied which include the following:
- The chapter enrolls in the international fraternity's "Substance-Free Housing" through June 30, 2021. The enrollment is defined as the elimination of the possession, use, distribution or consumption of all illegal and illicit substances, alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, or controlled substances.
- The chapter house, excluding the brothers leasing the property, shall be closed unless otherwise approved by the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Affairs, the chapter advisor and the sitting president through the fall 2020 semester. Approval of opening the chapter house varies upon reasoning such as meetings, ritual, brotherhood events, etc. All activities MUST comply with institutional and CDC guidelines related to COVID-19 and permission to utlllze the chapter house for any purpose must be secured at least 72 hours prior to any activity.

- University Probation – Effective immediately, your chapter is hereby on University Probation until December 13, 2019. There are to be no social events, with or without alcohol, at any event associated with the chapter. This probationary period does not prohibit your organization from continuing to operate on the campus of Austin Peay State University, but does place your chapter under close supervision. Additionally, your chapter will be allowed to have brotherhood events as long as no alcohol is present at the events.
- Restrictions - Effective immediately, your chapter is prohibited from conducting any social events, whether on or off campus, until December 13, 2019. Events (recruitment and/or brotherhood events) which are limited to Austin Peay State University undergraduate brothers only, and do not involve alcohol, are allowed. However, ANY event (with the exception of chapter meetings), regardless of whether it is perceived as a recruitment and/or brotherhood event or not, MUST be approved in advance (with 72 hours' notice by the Dean of Students.
- Special Education Program - During the next three academic years (beginning in fall 2019), your chapter is required to spondor a risk management programat least once annually, which will focus entirely on the campus and Sigma Chi Fraternity alcohol/drug policy. This program must be conducted by either staff within the Pffoce of Fraternity & Sorority Affairs or through an outside speaker (with approval from the Dean of Students). At least 75% of financially active undergraduates who are on your active and new member membership roster must be in attendance. Failure to comply with ant of the above referenced sanctions can result in additional charges/sanctions.
- Community Service - Beginning in the Fall 2019 semester and concluding with the spring 2020 academic semester, each active and new member on the chapter's roster must complete a minimum of 15 hours of community service. a log of your service hours and agencies that benefited as a result of your service must be submitted to the Dean of Students Office at the conclusion of each academic semester for the 2019-2020 academic year.
