Dr. Ashlee Spearman

Dr. Spearman joined the Governor community in 2012. Prior to becoming a Gov, she served in several roles such as: Recruitment Specialist, Student Success Coordinator and oversaw the Student Success Freshmen Seminar at Texas A&M University-Texarkana. She graduated from Grambling State University with a B.A. degree in Mass Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and received her Master of Science in Business Administration at Texas A&M University-Texarkana. She earned her Ed.D. in Learning Organizations and Strategic Change at Lipscomb University. She has taught undergraduate classes in First Year Experience, Student Success, Vital Topics in Leadership, and Management Professional Development Seminar. During her time at the Peay, she has been involved in leading several innovative initiatives, activities and leadership roles including Director of Student Transition's office, Director of Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)/Learning Opportunities Center and now serves as the Director of Academic Services & Engagement. She has served as a P.I. for several external grants, mentor for the Achievers & Scholars African American male mentor program as well as a host of other committees and student success initiatives. Professional affiliations include: National Orientation's Directors Association, Women in Higher Education in Tennessee (WHET) and certified ATIXA Title IX Investigator.

Allie holds a Master of Science in Management degree from Austin Peay State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Education from Union University. Allie first joined the staff of Austin Peay as Administrative Assistant III in the Office of Academic Affairs in June, 2011 before moving into the role of Learning Opportunities Coordinator in October of 2014. Allie also serves as the Executive Director for the Tennessee Theatre Association. Professional affiliations include the Society for Human Resource Management, Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society, and the Southeastern Theatre Conference.
Rachel has worked in higher education at Austin Peay State University since 2011. She earned an Associate of Science at Austin Peay State University in 2012 and is pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. Her background consist of the Registrar’s office, Distance Education and Office Management.
