Dr. Botsch is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology. His research seeks to understand the fundamental forces that drive spatial and temporal variation in insect dynamics. Conducted both locally and abroad, his work integrates long-term monitoring, targeted experiments, and ecological modeling to understand how the environment and species interactions shape population, community, and ecosystem dynamics. With an active interest in mentorship, Dr. Botsch encourages students participation in all aspects of his research.
Population dynamics, community ecology, freshwater biology, entomology, ecophysiology, insect conservation
