Andrea Spofford is the Director of the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts (CECA) at Austin Peay State University and a professor of creative writing in the Department of Languages & Literature. Dr. Spofford writes poems, essays, and multi-genre pieces, many of which are focused on the intersection of the personal and the environmental, the ways in which place seems both local and specific but can also unite our experiences in global, potentially universal ways.
