Eriksson Scholarship Programs
In honor of Martha Dickerson Eriksson, the Eriksson Scholarship Program funds support Austin Peay State University students pursuing middle or high school STEM education degrees. There are two scholarship programs: Eriksson Undergraduate Scholars and Eriksson Graduate Teaching Fellows.
Eriksson Undergraduate Scholars
Eriksson Undergraduate Scholars are pre-service educators preparing to teach in middle
or high school in a STEM field. Eriksson Undergraduate Scholars can receive an award
each fall and spring semester during their junior and senior years.
Minimum eligibility requirements are (1) Admitted to APSU, (2) Declared major in STEM or STEM education discipline, and (3) Earned 60 semester student credit hours prior to funding semester.
Eriksson Master Teaching Fellows
Eriksson Master Teaching Fellows are mathematics educators with current licensure
and teaching in a middle or high school setting. This program is intended to enhance
the mathematics content knowledge and further develop master teachers to provide curriculum
leadership in the schools in which they are employed. The program is delivered as
a 2-year cohort program that begins each June of odd-numbered years.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements: (1) Admitted to the College of Graduate Studies, (2) Earned B.S. in mathematics or mathematics education with a 3.0 GPA, and (3) Enrollment each semester in the cohort coursework.
