Colette Parrotte
Colette Parrotte, Learning Specialist Coordinator, joined the FSL team in the fall
of 2023. She is a certified teacher that has been working with students with disabilities
since 2006 within a variety of state and federal school systems. She earned a Bachelor
of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Hawaii, a Bachelor of Science
in Education from Troy University, and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction
from Grand Canyon University. Colette is responsible for coaching FSL students in
setting goals to reach success at APSU and beyond, designing and teaching the program’s
academic and social skills curricula, and providing autism resources and professional
development to faculty and staff at APSU. She has received her Certified Autism Specialist
Certification through the International Board of Credential and Continuing Education
Standards (IBCCES) and a Youth Mental Health First Aid Certification in 2024.
