Health and Human Performance Major:  K-12 Teaching Concentration

The K-12 Teaching Concentration provides students the opportunity to prepare for teaching health and physical education and/or coaching in grades K-12. The program meets all Tennessee and CAEP guidelines.

To earn a degree in Health and Human Performance with a concentration in K-12 Teaching, the student must earn 122 total hours. The curriculum requires the students to take UNIV 1000 (1 hour), 41 general education hours, 44 hours in the major, 20 hours in professional education, 4 elective hours and an additional 12 hours in required licensure classes.
