Program Governance,  Assessment, Evaluation, and Annual Report

The Graduate Counseling Program at Austin Peay State University (APSU) engages in systematic and ongoing program evaluation of its two counseling program concentrations; Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling.  The purpose of this assessment and evaluation process is to ensure a high standard of training, and to determine the extent of students’ mastery of the counselor competencies identified by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Programs (CACREP).  To this end, counseling program faculty collaborate with other departmental faculty, college and university personnel, and the APSU Counseling Program Advisory Board in an ongoing effort to ensure our programs meets the CACREP standards, and students leave the program as highly competent counseling professionals.

We invite you to view our program evaluation and yearly outcomes in the Annual Report available on the Student Assessment and Program Evaluation page.
