Elitha Johnson, accommodation coordinator for the Office of Disability Services
Elitha Johnson has dedicated her professional life to the service of others. While she currently serves as accommodation coordinator in the Office of Disability Services, she has previously worked for other service organizations such as Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Centerstone. Her continuous efforts to help others is an inspiration to all.
Johnson's commitment to community wellness positively impacts APSU and the local area. Whether she is working with individuals with disabilities, families in need of assistance, or youth struggling with mental health issues, she is always giving back for the greater good. The disability services office’s motto is "Moving Toward Independence," and they promote self-reliance through education and self -improvement. Johnson has played a significant role in providing students with the necessary tools needed to be successful at APSU and beyond.
Johnson is a proud alumna of APSU, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Social Work. She joined the Office of Disability Services in 2017. In addition to her work in that office, she has also served on several committees and in various capacities across campus.
