The study of mathematics is accessible to a variety of students; however, students that may find this degree and concentration particularly appealing likely enjoy problem solving, logic, and personal interactions with others. Students that complete this degree and concentration have the opportunity to impact the future in amazing ways by educating the next generation in mathematics.

This program is unique because students get the opportunity to earn both a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, as well as a teaching license for Grades 6-12 mathematics. This concentration opens up careers in education, but also graduate school opportunities, as well as the ability to continue to explore or work in other areas of mathematics. Students in this concentration often work closely with faculty and development lifelong professional relationships while still in college
