Peayple in the Community

The Day of Service offers a broad range of volunteer opportunities, from environmental projects and education initiatives to social work and community outreach. That means you can find a place to make a difference no matter where your passions lie. Whether you’re a student seeking to make a positive change in the community or a faculty/staff member looking to connect with your colleagues in a new environment, the Day of Service is your chance to contribute meaningfully.

We’re thrilled to announce the upcoming Peayple in the Community – Day of Service, slated for August 26, 2024. This is more than a date on the calendar; it’s an opportunity to come together as a community and make a tangible impact in Clarksville. 

Rooted in Austin Peay State University’s strategic plan, this event fosters engagement through service, transforming our words into actions and plans into impact. We’re not just here to learn but to serve. We're here to strengthen the bonds that connect us.

To ensure everyone can participate effectively, we are managing RSVPs for the different service opportunities. Freshmen do not need to sign up and should look below for information on where to show up on the day. Other participants, including students, faculty, staff, and community members, should follow the sign-up process provided below.

The event stimulates active engagement among the Austin Peay community – students, faculty and staff – outside the traditional academic environment. It provides a platform to interact, collaborate and build relationships in a service-oriented setting.
