Herbarium (APSC)

The Herbarium (APSC) is located in the Sundquist Science Complex and is home to over 55,000 plant specimens primarily representing the diverse Mid-south Region including type specimens and rare southeastern US endemics. The herbarium serves as a repository for student and faculty research and for the TN Natural Heritage Program and is valuable resource for academic and public education. In addition to an extensive pressed plant collection, the Herbarium is also home to the APSU Native Plant Teaching and Research Garden, located behind the Sundquist Science Complex, which contains over 350 species of native plants from grasslands, savannas, rock outcrops, and woodlands of the Interior Plateau Ecoregion.
