Recruiting Policies

The Career Success Center is committed to fostering fairness and opportunity for all Austin Peay State University students and alumni pursuing meaningful careers. To uphold these values, employers and organizations seeking to recruit our talented students are expected to comply with our established policies, the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Principles for Professional Practice, and the Fair Labor Standards Act. Together, we can create a fair and rewarding recruitment environment that benefits everyone involved.

Third-Party Recruiter Policy

Austin Peay State University and the Career Success Center would like to clarify that we do not specifically endorse or recommend any third-party employment services.

In line with the National Association of Colleges and Universities (NACE) “Principles for Career Services Professionals,” we recognize that third-party recruiters are agencies, organizations, or individuals that recruit candidates for various employment opportunities—temporary, part-time, or full-time—on behalf of others rather than for their own needs. This includes those who refer candidates for both profit and non-profit purposes and agencies that gather student information to share with employers for recruitment and employment.

We welcome third-party recruiters sourcing candidates for positions within their organizations to recruit on campus and submit their job opportunities through Handshake. We kindly ask that they provide relevant company information to our office. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
