The APSU Diagnostic Laboratory aims to provide advanced diagnostic services utilizing state-of-the-art technology. Our mission is to deliver accurate and timely results to APSU students, faculty, and staff while striving to expand our services to meet the broader community's needs.
Diagnostic Laboratory Services
The Diagnostic Laboratory offers various testing services, including Group A Strep, Influenza A & B, SARS-CoV-2 antigen testing, STD panels, and more. Please refer to our full testing overview for detailed information on available tests, including sample requirements, turnaround times, and costs.
Location
Austin Peay State University is gearing up to open its new Health Professions Building, a state-of-the-art facility that will enhance healthcare education and expand clinical services for the community. A key feature of the new space is its fully functional diagnostic laboratory, equipped with the latest analyzers used in hospitals across the region and staffed by licensed Medical Laboratory Scientists.
More than just a teaching space, this cutting-edge lab will provide students with hands-on experience in a real-world clinical setting while supporting vital testing services. Faculty and staff will begin moving into the building in May, with plans to have the lab operational for testing by the fall semester.
This expansion strengthens APSU’s commitment to training future healthcare professionals while improving access to high-quality diagnostic services in the region.
