Have you completed all degree requirements? |
You must complete all degree requirements prior to your graduation date. Have you
checked your degree audit? If not, log on to your AP OneStop account and go the Degree
Works tile. Review your audit to see if you are missing any requirements.* For instructions
on how to read your audit, see the link below:

* If you are missing anything, or if you need substitutions or waivers, please contact
your advisor.

Have you applied for graduation? |
If you have completed or will complete all degree requirements in the current term,
you are ready to apply for graduation. Go to the link below for instructions on how
to apply for graduation.

If needed, have you sent in any missing transcripts? |
If you anticipate completing any course(s) at another institution, the course(s) must
be specified on a Course Work Approval Form filed with the Office of the Registrar. It must include the selected course(s),
dates of enrollment, institution, advisor/department chair approval and Office of
the Registrar approval. An OFFICIAL transcript must be received from the institution
immediately upon completion of the course(s).

Have you signed up for the senior exit exam? |
If you are seeking a bachelor's degree in any program, you are required to take the
Senior Exit Exam. For more information, go to the Senior Exit Exam page, or contact the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment at iea@apsu.edu or 931-221-6184.

Did you take your major field test? |
If you are seeking an associate's or bachelor's degree, you may also be required to
take a major field test. If you are unsure if your program requires you to take a
major field test, please contact your advisor or department for more information.

Did you take the First Destination Survey? |
APSU is required by state and federal agencies to track what our graduates plan to
do after they leave the university. This helps us know if you are planning to enter
the workforce, continue your education, or serve in military or civic capacities.
Please complete the survey at the link below so that we can know how better to serve
you and future graduates.

Have you ordered your cap and gown?
|
Once you apply for graduation, you will begin receiving emails about 3 months prior
to commencement regarding your graduation status, ordering your cap and gown, and
general commencement information.
We will send you an email to your official APSU email with a link to order your cap
and gown. Our cap and gown vendor, Herff Jones, also offers announcements, invitations,
diploma frames, and other products to meet your graduation needs.

General Graduation Requirements

Undergraduate Students: Must earn a minimum overall, APSU, major, and minor (if required) GPA of 2.00.
Graduate Students: Must earn a minimum overall, APSU, and program GPA of 3.00. |
Residency Hours
|
Undergraduate Students: Must earn at least 25 percent of the degree requirements in residency (APSU coursework)
and earn at least 24 semester credit hours during the junior or senior years.
Graduate Students: Must earn a minimum of one-third of the number of hours required to complete a degree
or certificate program. |
Core Requirements
|
Undergraduate Students: Bachelor's degree seeking students must earn a minimum of 120 overall hours; 42 of
these hours are part of general education core. Associate degree seeking students
must earn a minimum of 60 overall hours; 42 of these hours are part of the general
education core.
Graduate Students: Must earn a minimum of 30 overall hours.
