Panhellenic Council Recruitment Guidelines
Below are guidelines that govern the College Panhellenic recruitment process:
-
All participants must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours for the fall 2019 semester in order to be eligible for recruitment.
-
Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs may verify my cumulative GPA from my high school and/or college I have attended and that this information will be released to the individual women’s fraternities, advisers association with the chapter and inter/national headquarters.
-
If you receive and accept a bid I will attend a mandatory new member program, ELEVATE, in Fall 2019.
-
Alcohol and illegal drugs are prohibited from use during recruitment process. The Panhellenic Council will dismiss from recruitment anyone found in violation and will refer all violations to the Office of Student Affairs.
-
You are encouraged to attend the maximum number of functions that you can each day of recruitment in order to maximize your chances of receiving an invitation for membership.
-
Notify the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs in writing if you choose to withdraw yourself from recruitment.
-
You have the right to not join a sorority if, in the end of the recruitment process, that seems best to me.
-
You understand that participation in Panhellenic Council recruitment is not a guarantee that you will receive a bid to join a Panhellenic Council sorority.
-
You authorize Austin Peay State University and/or Panhellenic to use your name and likeness in promotional materials. You also allow your name and likeness to be associated with the Greek community. You must understand that you will not receive payment or any other compensation in connection with the use of the materials.
- There is a $35.00 application fee, this includes snacks, food, and non-alcoholic beverages on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as well as a recruitment t-shirt. Payments must be made via the application you will complete. Sorority applications will not be complete until the application fee is received.
