Sick Leave |

Accrue 7.5 hours per month. *Employees with a service-connected disability of thirty percent (30%) or more are eligible for an additional thirty-six (36) hours of leave each fiscal year that can be used to attend appointments related to the service-connected disability. Family and Medical Leave |
Must have worked at least 12 months and have worked at least 1,250 hours during the preceding 12-month period |
Regular employees may take up to 12 work weeks of leave during a 12-month period for specified family and medical reasons. More information can be found in Policy 5:020 or our dedicated FMLA page. |
Parental Leave |
Available after 12 months of employment. |
Leave for maternity or paternity purposes for a period of up to four months upon request of the employee. Additional information can be found in Policy 5:020 |
Paid Parental Leave |
Available after 12 months of employment. |
Leave for maternity or paternity purposes for a period of up to six weeks (225 hours). Additional information can be found in Policy 5:020 or our dedicated PPL page. |
Military Leave |
From date of employment |
Not to exceed 20 working days in any one calendar year, plus such additional days resulting from any call to active duty status. Additional information can be found in Policy 5:020 |
Civil Leave |
From date of employment |
Regular pay for time while serving on jury duty or as a subpoenaed witness for the state. Additional information can be found in Policy 5:020 |
Bereavement Leave |

Leave of Absence Without Pay |
