Rules & Guideline

Every festival had rules and guidelines. Ours is no different, however they are designed to not be too limiting.

- Team Size: 

We would prefer teams since we want this to be a learning opportunity as well as a chance to meet new people and work on something together.  Four to eight people is a good size.  Any more and there may be too many cooks in the kitchen.  Feel free to distinguish roles on the film (director, camera, script, actor(s), etc.).  Identifying your role early and sticking to it will make the shoot run a lot more smoothly.

- Film Length:  

a maximum of 5 – 7 mins including credits.

- No Nudity

- Must have releases for all performers, background & locations. (See Karen Bullis for a release, it will also soon be on the website)

- No copywrighted material may be used

- No car chases, no guns

When in doubt, remember that the plan is to air these shorts on the APSU TV station. Aim for 1992 PG-13, or major TV network before 8PM.
