CELLO DAY
September 8, 2019
Cellists of all ages and abilities are invited to attend APSU’s third annual Cello Day, hosted by Dr. Meghan Berindean. Cello Day activities will include cello choir readings, a technique workshop, and a masterclass and recital by guest artist, Kevin Bate, Principal Cello of the Nashville Symphony.
Schedule of Events
Check-in will begin at 8:30 AM, and scheduled activities will begin at 9:00. The final concert will conclude by 4:30 PM. All activities will take place at the Music/Mass Communication building at APSU.
- 8:30-9:00 – Check-in
- 9:00-9:45 – Cello choir reading session
- 9:45-10:30 – Technique workshop
- 10:30-12:00 – Masterclass
- 12:00-12:45 – Lunch (provided)
- 12:45-1:45 – Cello choir reading session
- 2:00 Recital by Kevin Bate (cello choir finale including all Cello Day participants!)
Registration
Registration for Cello Day is $20, and it includes a Cello Day 2019 T-shirt, a pizza lunch, and admission to all Cello Day activities. Please register by August 28 to guarantee your T-shirt size.

Directions and Parking
All Cello Day events will take place at the Music/Mass Communication building at the corner of 8th and Marion Streets on the Main Campus of Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. Parking is available on the street and in lots surrounding the building.
