Why Study Mathematics
This major is designed for elementary and middle school teachers to increase their mathematics content and pedagogy skills. Licensed teachers completing the degree and associated exams can apply for middle school or secondary mathematics endorsement add-ons. The mathematics education faculty have varied K-12 classroom experience and many maintain there mathematics teaching license. Their expertise along with the program design make this program a perfect match for those interested in mathematics education, such as coaches, tutors, and other educators.
Student pursuing this program will have the unique opportunity to completed research while working with their program faculty.
