Guiding Your Success with Vision and Leadership

Student Affairs Administration & Finance directs and guides division budget management and fiscal responsibility, oversees the central Student Affairs office, leads strategic initiatives and special projects, and implements and directs division policies and procedures. Our team includes the Chief of Staff and Executive Director, the Assistant to the Vice President, the Little Govs Child Learning Center and Assessment Planning & Communications.

The Division of Student Affairs vision, core values, and strategic plan directly supports our students on their path to success. The strategic plan, through 2027, intentionally builds and enhances an engaging student experience, a community of belongingness, the spirit of well-being and a culture of purpose and success.

Chief of Staff & Executive Director

The CoS provides executive leadership and management for the division budget in addition to facility and auxiliary expenditures. The CoS holds responsibility for critical leadership with fiscal and administrative operation strategy, program assessment and communications, and execution of strategic decisions for special projects and initiatives to advance the mission and vision of Student Affairs.

Assessment, Planning & Communications

Division assessment practice is coordinated through APC and is collaborative and intentional through Institutional Effectiveness assessment, department program reviews, and impact data. The Assessment Committee supports these initiatives. Student Publications serves as the communications liaison with APSU Public Relations, provides division communications and publications, and houses The All State student newspaper.

Little Govs Child Learning Center

Our center offers comprehensive curriculum for children of APSU students, staff, faculty, alumni and the community. We are fully licensed and have the highest rating from the Tennessee Department of Human Services. We help children learn, develop and have fun and to support our families.
