The National Society of Leadership and Success APSU Chapter

NSLS logo

NSLS is the nation's largest and only accredited leadership honor society.  Earning induction is a nationally recognized achievement of honorable distinction.  The academic department of Leadership and Organizational Administration entered into a collaboration with the Office of Student Life and Engagement in Fall 2018 to bring the National Society of Leadership and Success participation based program to APSU! In just three semesters, NSLS at APSU has over 1000 student members, with over 700 students completing the program for induction. An additional APSU Online chapter was founded in Fall 2019 to provide this same leadership development opportunity to our distance education students.

In addition to honorable distinction, the NSLS provides a step-by-step program for members to build their leadership skills through participation at their campus.  Upon completion of the required activities, members are inducted, receive their leadership certificate, and take their place among the top student leaders at their campus and across the country.  Members are able to list their affiliation on all statements of personal accomplishment, including their resume.

Membership is for life and provides access to benefits including scholarships and awards, exclusive on-campus events, employer recruitment through an online job bank, and discounts on computers, textbooks, grad school prep courses, insurance and much more. You can find more info at www.nsls.org

Invitations are sent to select students each semester, however membership in this participation based leadership honor society is an option for all APSU students! For more information, or to find out how to join if you did not receive an invitation, contact the Coordinator of Leadership & Student Organizations

In addition to the leadership development program offered by NSLS, the organization has also achieved status as a Recognized Student Organization at APSU, with a student executive board, activities for members, fundraisers, and more. Information about the student organization can be found on their PeayLink page
