Study Abroad Opportunities in the College of Business
Students with majors and/or minors in the College of Business can participate in the study abroad programs listed below. Any student interested in studying abroad should also review the application process.
Students can use their financial aid to help pay for study abroad programs, including exchange programs. Additionally, there are scholarships and grants available for study abroad programs.
Receive general education core or elective credits by studying abroad!
Students can attend study abroad programs in order to receive credit for general education core and elective courses. Students are recommended to meet with their advisors to check which general education core course requirements have or haven't been met and if any electives are available in their degree program.
Short-Term Programs
Students travel in a group with faculty. These programs take place during summer, winter, or spring break and last from 1 to 5 weeks.
Currently, there are business programs offered abroad at APSU with APSU Faculty-Led and CCSA programs.CCSA consortium offers programs in many disciplines in English-speaking countries during winter and summer. Please check the CCSA website for more information, as courses vary each term.
Students with majors and/or minors under the College of Business should also check study abroad programs offered through other APSU colleges, as there are courses available that can be taken as electives or general education courses by students from any major. For example, English courses in Spain or Argentina, Art Appreciation and Communication courses in London, History courses in Japan or Poland, Criminal Justice courses in Ireland, etc.
Long-Term or Exchange Programs
Students from any APSU college can participate in exchange programs. Through these programs, students spend a whole semester or academic year abroad. Participants travel independently and are more involved in the planning process. Classes are taught in English unless students choose otherwise. Students interested in participating in an exchange program must complete the following steps:
- Students must FIRST meet with the Office of Study Abroad and International Exchange. Please call us at 931-221-6851 to make an appointment.
- Students must also meet with the APSU Exchange Program Faculty Coordinator (if applicable). Contact information for each coordinator is available on each program online brochure.
- Complete the application process at the host institution and/or third party provider.
- Complete the APSU study abroad application.
- Register for classes at APSU and at the host institution.
- Pay tuition ONLY at APSU with partner university programs OR pay tuition ONLY at the host institution if using a third-party provider (ISEP, ISA, CISabroad, etc.)
- Pay for housing and meals at APSU OR at the host institution (this will depend on the program).
- Do your semester abroad!
Additional expenses might include but are not limited to: student visa fees, health and trip insurance, airfare, application fees, and passport fee.
