The APSU Testing Center adheres to nationally recognized professional testing standards
while providing reliable test administration and high quality customer service that
facilitates the pursuit of professional and personal educational goals.
If you are interested in taking the Accuplacer at a testing center closer to your
location, please submit a Remote Placement Testing Request. Keep in mind that alternative testing sites usually charge for their testing services
and you will be responsible for any payment they require. Testing for APSU applicants
at the Clarksville campus or Ft. Campbell campus is free (for the initial test).
***Before you register for classes, speak to your advisor about challenging your reading,
writing or math placement.***
If you are told you need to take an "e" or "enhanced" section of a class, you can
challenge that by taking the Accuplacer test for that subject. If you score college
level on the exam, you will no longer need to take the "e" or "enhanced" section of
that class. Note: You can only challenge a placement one time and there is a $10
charge. If you have already registered for an "enhanced" section and the class has
begun, you are no longer eligible to challenge that subject's placement.
Please visit the Closure Notification page to check for Testing Center closings.
Special Note: If the University is closed due to inclement weather, the Testing Center
will be closed. Please call the Testing Center to reschedule your appointment.
The Testing Center is located at 331 Drane Street in the Ellington Building, Room
207. The Testing Center offers a variety of tests which include: ACCUPLACER (Placement) Testing, ACT Residual, CLEP, DSST (DANTES), TEAS, and the Miller
Analogies Test (MAT). Testing information about the national ACT and other tests is available at the Testing Center.
