Departmental Bookstore Purchases

20% Discount

Per the terms and conditions with our Bookstore vendor, Barnes & Noble College, July 2017-June 2027, University departments who purchase items in the Bookstore will receive a 20% discount on all authorized departmental purchases, except adopted textbooks, special orders, sale books, class and alumni rings, computer software, periodicals, discounted merchandise, computer hardware, stamps, health and beauty aids, food items, and beverages.


Tax Exempt

To help ensure Bookstore staff do not charge tax on any APSU department purchases, please make sure to clarify this information at the time of the purchase. 

With the Bookstore staff handling a large variety of customers, often it is hard for them to identify if purchase is a department charge or personal, especially when they are paying with a bankcard. 


Department Payment Options

  1. Department Purchasing Card: 

    You can use your Department Purchasing Card just like a normal credit card and still receive your APSU employee discount on approved items.

  2. Complete a Department Bookstore Purchase form.
    • Bookstore has forms on hand in the store.
      • Your banner FOAP is not required on the form.
      • Form is for internal university controls.
    • Purchase receipt(s) will be provided to University employee making purchases and Bookstore will attach their copy to the completed Department Bookstore Purchase Form.
    • Bookstore will send invoice to the University.
    • Department staff will submit the invoice for payment in Govs eshop.


Purchasing Restrictions:
