Special Education Endorsement Certificate

The Department of Education offers the online graduate certificate in Special Education Endorsement. The certificate is offered exclusively online and admits for the summer term, this is an accelerated program.

This accelerated, online program is designed for licensed teachers who have already earned a Bachelor's degree and would like to earn a graduate endorsement in Special Education Interventionist, K-8. The certificate program is completed in 15-hour graduate hours. It has a discounted tuition rate of $1,400/course.

Students will complete this 15-hour program by taking five online courses:

SPED 5550: Trends and Issues (3)
SPED 5720: Assessment (3)
SPED 5750: Behavior Management
SPED 5730: Mild/Moderate Disabilities (3)
SPED 5530: Inclusion Strategies (3)
