JaCenda Davidson

Assistant Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

Provides leadership and is responsible for all aspects of the Human Resources Department including supervision and evaluation of functional area Directors, management and oversight of operations, employee relations, policy development and compliance with federal and state laws. The AVP/CHRO has responsibility for setting the vision and creating strategies and initiatives designed to support APSUs mission.

The AVP/CHRO also serves as the first point of contact to support the needs of the following areas:

Fonda Fields

Director, Human Resources & Employee Relations

Works closely with the AVP/CHRO and serves as a partner and resource for the campus by leading and guiding recruitment, staff development and training, and employee relations. Ensures that HR best practices and continuous improvement are implemented across the campus.

  • Supervisor/Manager Coaching

Anthony Roark

Director of HR Technology and Compensation

Works closely with the AVP/CHRO and is the chief point of contact between Human Resources, Information Technology and systems vendors. Oversees interfaces for Banner, PeopleAdmin, and other processes and serves as the primary contact for process issues and end user support, and prepares most internal and external reports from the department. With the use of technology, spends time on strategic compensation management for improved cultural and goal alignment.

Director of Benefits & Retirement Services

Works closely with the AVP/CHRO and is the chief point of contact for all benefits and retirement needs. Provides new employees with an overview of benefits and all APSU employees with a variety of resources and assistance during any life changing events from the time of hire to the time of separation.

Lisa Ramsey

Personnel Assistant

Oversees office operations to ensure HR provides a transactional and first line best-in-class support services to our employees and supervisors, and ensures processes and procedures are completed efficiently and right first time, every time. Builds strong and trusted internal working relationships across the campus and functions to ensure our HR processes and services support the university's needs.
