Arts and Letters

Theta-Delta Journal

• The Theta-Delta Journal is a student published journal by members of the Theta-Delta chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the history honor society, at Austin Peay State University.  Volume 1 was published in April 2011.

Philomathes Journal

• Philomathes is a new annual peer-reviewed online journal—published under the auspices of the Classics program at Austin Peay State UniversityWe seek essays of original research on any aspect of the ancient Greek and Roman world (history, literature, archaeology, art history, etc.). We are pleased to accept submissions in traditional scholarly formats.

Allegheny Review {Creative Work: Art and Literature}

• The Allegheny Review is dedicated exclusively to undergraduate works of poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and art.  The Allegheny Review awards Literature prizes to outstanding undergraduate poets and prose writers.

Aporia - Dartmouth's Undergraduate Journal of Philosophy

• A primary goal of Aporia is to showcase high quality undergraduate work in philosophy and act as a catalyst for engaging students in the puzzles inherent in the world around us. Issues tend to center on a common theme that varies from publication to publication, but thoughtful submissions on any philosophical topic are welcome.

Collision Literary Magazine  {Creative Work: Literature}

• Collision Literary Magazine is one of the few undergraduate publications in the nation dedicated exclusively to creative non-fiction and non-fiction poetry. Each semester, Collision publishes personal essays, narratives, travel pieces, profiles, poems, art and photography by undergraduate students from around the world.

Columbia Journal of Literary Criticism

• The Columbia Journal of Literary Criticism is devoted to publishing rigorous works of undergraduate scholarship. The CJLC encourages students to view themselves as vital members of the intellectual community they inhabit and is looking for papers in the humanities that exhibit strong theses, internal coherence, and an engagement with academic scholarship.

History Matters: An Undergraduate Journal of Historical Research at Appalachian State University {History}

• At HISTORY MATTERS, our goal is to publish the best undergraduate historical research possible. In doing so, we would like to provide an opportunity for top undergraduates from a variety of schools to be recognized for their work, familiarize them with the publishing process, and encourage student-faculty collaboration.

Into the Teeth of the Wind   {Creative Work: Poetry}

• Into the Teeth of the Wind is a student-run review that is dedicated to publishing quality poetry in all of its various manifestations, from the strictly formal to the exotically eclectic. They publish from one to four issues per year and accept both poetry and art submissions year-round from around the world.

The Oswald Review   {English: Criticism and Research}

• The Oswald Review (TOR) is an international, refereed journal of undergraduate criticism and research in the discipline of English.

Cambridge Undergraduate Journal of Development Economics - PIXEL

• The Cambridge Undergraduate Journal of Development Economics is a student run journal committed to promoting research and writing by undergraduate students around the world in the field of development economics. The journal is looking for papers, essays and articles on topics in the field of economic development.

IPE- Issues in Political Economy

• IPE was founded on the belief that the best way to learn economics is to do economics. Through the process of research, writing, and peer review, students actively engage the discipline in a way not possible by simply listening to lectures and reading textbooks.

Michigan Journal of Business   {Business}

• The Michigan Journal of Business the first undergraduate business journal in the United States with a worldwide audience, currently being distributed to over 150 University libraries in five continents. Papers may address a wide array of topics, including Accounting, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Management, Operations Management, Information Systems, Business Law, Corporate Ethics, and Public Policy.

Behavioral and Health Sciences

Critique: a worldwide student journal of politics

• Critique provides a forum for graduate and undergraduate students of politics to express and exchange diverse ideas and to imagine new possibilities for democracy and justice. The electronic format of Critique provides an alternative venue that expands political debate by creating space for the emergence of new ideas.

Journal for Nurse Practitioners

• JNP, the official journal of the American College of Nurse Practitioners, provides a highly visible resource to help nurse practitioners stay current with the clinical, research, and policy concerns affecting their day-to-day practice. In addition to peer-reviewed clinical articles, JNP features continuing education opportunities and opinions and commentary on pressing legislative, regulatory, and clinical practice issues.

Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology—Journal of Undergraduate Research

• Psi Chi Journal of Undergraduate Research is an international, fully reviewed, quarterly journal dedicated to the publication of undergraduate student research. Submissions are accepted for review on an ongoing basis and may cover any topical area in the psychological sciences. The primary author of a submitted manuscript must be an undergraduate student who is a member of Psi Chi.

Journal of Behavioral and Neuroscience Research

• JBNR is a full-text online peer reviewed journal designed as an outlet for research in Psychology and Neuroscience and published biannually (March and October) at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY. Articles from any discipline within Psychology or Neuroscience are welcome; however, priority will be given to those studies which employ both behavioral and neuroscience techniques/assessments in the examination of a particular issue. Documentation of IRB approval is necessary if appropriate.

Journal of Psychological Inquiry

• The Journal of Psychological Inquiry exists to illustrate the high quality of undergraduates' scholarly work. Undergraduate students from outside the Great Plains area are encouraged to submit to Special Features Sections of the Journal.

Journal of Undergraduate Kinesiology Research

• The Journal of Undergraduate Kinesiology Research is a peer reviewed, Internet-based journal (ISSN 1936-7007) dedicated to original undergraduate research in Kinesiology. The Editor-In-Chief invites Kinesiology-related, undergraduate research from all academic institutions.

Learning & Teaching: The International Journal of Higher Education in the Social Sciences

• Learning and Teaching (LATISS) is a peer-reviewed journal that uses the social sciences to reflect critically on learning and teaching in the changing context of higher education. The journal invites students and staff to explore their education practices in the light of changes in their institutions, national higher education policies, the strategies of international agencies and developments associated with the so-called international knowledge economy.

UCLA Undergraduate Psychology Journal

• The Undergraduate Psychology Journal (UPJ) at the University of California Los Angeles is a publication which features outstanding research work performed by undergraduate students at UCLA and around the country. They invite papers that approach psychological issues from a wide variety of perspectives such as behavioral neuroscience, clinical psychology, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, learning and behavior, measurement and psychometrics, and social psychology.

Undergraduate Research Journal for the Human Sciences

• The URC Undergraduate Research Journal is an annual online national, reviewed journal dedicated to the publication of undergraduate student research. The twofold purpose of the journal is to foster and reward the scholarly efforts of undergraduate human sciences students as well as to provide a valuable learning experience.

• AJUR is a refereed international journal for undergraduate research in the pure & applied sciences, mathematics, engineering, technology, and related areas in education.

BIOS   {Biology}

• BIOS, the quarterly journal of Beta Beta Beta Biological Society (membership in ßßß is NOT required for publication in BIOS). Subjects covered include articles on current research, developments in biology, biology as a profession, as well as graduate and professional training for biologists. Special emphasis is placed on the publication of undergraduate research papers.

involve - a journal of mathematics

• Involve is dedicated to showcasing and encouraging high quality mathematical research involving students (at all levels. Involve is a publication in between the extremes of purely undergraduate research journals, which in general are aimed at undergraduate audiences, and mainstream research journals.

JURP - Journal of Undergraduate Research in Physics

• JURP is devoted to archiving research conducted by undergraduate students in physics and its related fields, and is a vehicle for the exchange of ideas and information by undergraduate students. Papers in experimental physics, theoretical physics, or educational research in physics are welcome.

Nanoscape

• The Journal for Undergraduate Research in Nanoscience provides undergraduate students with opportunities to experience writing and submitting original research manuscripts to a peer-reviewed journal. It disseminates the results of undergraduate research in nanoscience and nanotechnology to the wider community, and encourages undergraduate involvement in research opportunities.

Rose-Hulman Undergraduate Mathamatics Journal

• The Rose-Hulman Undergraduate Mathematics Journal is devoted entirely to papers written by undergraduates on topics related to mathematics. The journal will be distributed freely in an electronic format (PDF) from the journal's web site.

RURALS: Review of Undergraduate Research in Agricultural and Life Sciences

• A faculty-refereed journal devoted to the publication of high quality research by undergraduates worldwide in all research problem areas including, but not limited, to those described in the USDA, CSREES Manual of Classification of Agricultural and Forestry Research.

Lethbridge Undergraduate Research Journal

• The Lethbridge Undergraduate Research Journal is an online journal run by and for undergraduate students. The L.U.R.J. is international in scope, and welcomes papers from all undergraduates. Papers are accepted at all times.

NASPA Journal of College and Character

• The special focus of this journal is character development in college . . . how colleges and universities influence, both intentionally and unintentionally, the moral and civic learning and behaviors of college students. The Journal is asking college students to contribute short reflections on ethical issues or dilemmas they encounter during college.

NeoAmericanist 

• NeoAmericanist is an inter-disciplinary online journal for the study of America. They are focused on reaching out to universities and the general public to create an e-journal that pushes the boundaries of scholarship and theory, and blurs the lines between academic disciplines and popular culture.

Pittsburgh Undergraduate Review  

• PUR is a multidisciplinary journal that accepts papers from around the world. The Pittsburgh Undergraduate Review has a rolling submissions process and accepts papers throughout the year. Multiple submissions are allowed

Reinvention: a Journal of Undergraduate Research

• Reinvention: a Journal of Undergraduate Research welcomes academic articles from all disciplinary areas. As of October 2008, the journal will be open to submissions from all undergraduate students in the UK and overseas.

Young Scholars in Writing: Undergraduate Research in Writing and Rhetoric

• Young Scholars in Writing is journal dedicated to publishing research articles written by undergraduates in a wide variety of disciplines associated with rhetoric and writing. The Journal seeks theory-driven and/or research-based submissions from undergraduates on the following topics: writing, rhetoric, composition, professional writing, technical writing, business writing, discourse analysis, writing technologies, peer tutoring in writing, writing process, writing in the disciplines, and related topics.
