Master Calendar Guidelines
The Omni CMS Calendar serves as a tool to showcase upcoming events on the Austin Peay Website in a user-friendly format, aiming to inform and inspire active engagement. Please take a moment to review the provided guidelines in order to ensure that the information on our calendars is presented accurately and in a way that is beneficial to users.
Calendar Creation and Access:
- Request for a new calendar or access to edit an existing calendar can be emailed to webupdate@apsu.edu.
- Users must already be trained Omni CMS Web Editors to qualify as Calendar Editors.
- Each calendar will have a max of 2 editors. Any changes or additions to the calendar will go through them.
Creating Events:
- Omni CMS Calendars are only for events that take place at, or are sponsored by Austin Peay State University.
- Keep event names short and descriptions concise. Descriptions should be no more than 2-3 sentences. If there is more info to be shared, you can add a link in the description to a page to learn more.
- The calendar cannot host images. Images used for events need to be uploaded to Omni CMS first and published in order to use with an event.
- Calendar images should be square and no smaller than 500px wide.
Locations and Organizers:
- Location options are added by the PR & Marketing Department. If you wish to have a location added as an option for an event please email webupdate@apsu.edu.
- Calendar Editors have the ability to add event organizers and their info. When possible, use general email accounts for contact info.
