Peayple's Dialogue

“Promoting civic engagement, understanding, and a shared commitment to contribute meaningfully to the campus community and beyond.”

The Peayple’s Dialogue

The Peayple’s Dialogues are designed to engage students, faculty, and staff in meaningful conversations on pressing topics that promote free expression and civil dialogue. These discussions aim to bring the Austin Peay community together, fostering an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are shared and respected. Topics can be tailored to address the community's specific needs, and participants will have the opportunity to explore ideas that contribute to mutual understanding and unity.

Freedom of Expression and Inquiry

APSU recognizes the importance of freedom of expression, inquiry, and academic freedom in pursuing educational excellence. As such, and in compliance with the Tennessee Higher Education Freedom of Expression and Transparency Act, additional information reflecting APSU’s commitment to freedom of expression and academic freedom can be accessed by visiting Divisive Concepts and Freedom of Expression.

The Peayple's Dialogue Core Components

Peayple’s Dialogue are comprised of evidence-based frameworks anchored by three key elements: Active and Engaged Learning, Innovative and Structured Interaction, and Facilitated Learning Environments. These approaches create brave spaces for stakeholders to engage in meaningful conversations on pressing issues while offering timely resources to help better serve diverse campus communities.dialogue components
