The Division Office is dedicated to fulfilling the vision of Student Affairs, and our caring team is here to help connect and support students with a rich and transformative Austin Peay experience. The Student Affairs team is committed to promoting the holistic success of our students and engaging a student-centered, collaborative approach to providing a wide array of opportunities and services.

Vision, Core Values & Strategic Plan

The Division of Student Affairs vision, core values, and strategic plan directly supports our students on their path to success. The strategic plan, through 2027, intentionally builds and enhances an engaging student experience, a community of belongingness, the spirit of well-being and a culture of purpose and success.

Assessment, Planning & Communications

Division impact assessment is directed through APC and is collaborative and intentional through institutional effectiveness assessment, program reviews, and metrics. Student Publications and Communications partners with APSU Marketing and Public Relations to inform and engage the campus and community. Through its efforts, the department supports division goals and provides a co-curricular learning environment for students. Student Publications is home to The All State, the student newspaper at APSU since 1930.

Division of Student Affairs Committees

To support and achieve our division's strategic plan and Experience Austin Peay, the Division of Student Affairs created five committees: Strengths-Based Advocates to enhance our approach across campus, Professional Development to offer consistent opportunities, Orientation Engagement to improve new student orientation, Impact Assessment to coordinate assessment efforts, and Division Recognition to manage division-wide recognition.

Little Govs Child Learning Center

Our center offers comprehensive curriculum for children of APSU students, staff, faculty, alumni and the community. We are fully licensed and have the highest rating from the Tennessee Department of Human Services. We help children learn, develop and have fun and to support our families.
